SWEET ILA MAE'S BARN SALE

Sheer excitement!

Karen, Melissa and I are going to do a vendor booth

at the Sweet Ila Mae's Barn Sale!

If you have never been to a Barn Sale, you must check this one out!

Pray for good weather!

Be sure to make your calendar for this wonderful event!

There will be beautiful vintage things, repurposed items,

handmade goodness, jewelry, furniture,

and who knows what else.

Hurry over to Sweet Ila Mae's facebook page and give them a big LIKE!

(And tell them I sent ya!)

Keep checking their page every day because

there will be give aways between now and the event!

I will be giving something away on their page

(after I decide what that will be).

Any ideas on what I should give away?

Blessings,
Patty

Prayer Box, Vintage Keys, New Pillows and other goodies

My prayer box that a sweet friend gave me.

How is it that sometimes things happen at just the right moment?

Inside the prayer box is a tiny pencil and beautiful paper to write your prayers on.

There is one particular thing I pray about very often - these are the prayers

that go in this special box.

Oh, the keys. I found these vintage keys at a local junk store.

Love them.

Wrote something new on my chalk board today...

And finished some pillows for our Julie and Chris' porch...

Mr. and Mrs. jars for Shellie...

And a little something for baby Parker...

A hand-embroidered tea towel...

A new pillow for our porch...

Or does it look better in this chair?

Have a Blessed Easter everyone!

Hand embroidered tea towels and summer dreamin'

Been dreaming of going to the beach

so I decided to stich some tea towels to pacify me for now.

Towels are available for $15 each

The "life's a beach" photo is a little blurry. Sorry.

But at least you can get the general idea of how it looks.

I think this one is my favorite...

What could possibly be better than

"Toes in the Sand"?

Love the Seaside mermaid too!

OK, maybe I have two favorites. ;-)

I'll keep stitching and dreaming of the beach.

Blessings,
Patty

Jars and Vases Patiently Waiting

The daffodils have already started popping up around the yard. That means it is going to snow. Or at least that's how I see it. It always snows on the daffodils (or buttercups as we call them at my house)! So I have my jars and vases patiently waiting on beautiful bouquets, some I will keep around the house and some I will share. The arrival of daffodils gives me hope that spring is just around the corner. Oh, how I love spring!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

Last weekend was spent decorating the tree and the mantel

Linli was so sweet to decorate the chalkboard for the mantel.
She did such a great job! Thank you Linli!

Rag Santa doll waits patiently near the tree.
I still have two of these left if you're interested.
They are $25 each (plus $6 shipping)

I'm behind

I need fall decorations in our home

So I made a few velvet (and wool) pumpkins for the mantle

The chalkboard is an old frame I painted with Annie Sloan paint

I love chalkboards. They are so versatile.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Autumn Street Fair Booth

Our small town has an "Autumn Street Fair" every year.

It has been a long time since I have participated as a vendor.

My friend Nancy asked me to share her booth this year .

It started out as a brisk, rainy day to say the least.

Mid morning the rain stopped -- but the cold did not.

We were troopers and made it just fine

after Nancy traded her flip flops for some socks and shoes with toes!

(Shhhhh! Don't tell her I said that!)

It was fun to see all the folks that dropped in to shop and visit.

That's what I love the most about being a vendor -- you get to see so many people!

Nancy provided the beautiful quilts to use as table cloths and I added a few vintage table cloths.

We had a wide variety of merchandise. Nancy sold bags, skirts, aprons and headbands

made from beautiful Tanzanian wax batik fabrics by her

daughter-in-law Holly and Holly's Tanzanian friend Suzy.

They do beautiful work.

Nancy's son Carson and his wife Holly are missionaries in Geita. I love hearing about their journey.

Nancy made the cutest guitar pick earrings & beautiful necklacesfrom vintage beads.

My daughter-in-law Linli and I had a wide variety of items to sell.

Linli had beautiful jade jewelry and I had just a hodge podge of things.

Mostly tea towels, aprons and chalkboards.

Good times! Come visit us at the Warren County Arts & Crafts Fair

Nov. 16-17!

Blessings, Patty
